Centrifugal Air Blowers
According to their application, centrifugal blowers can be grouped as
-
Combustion or Pressure blowers
-
Suction or induced draft blower
-
Circulating fans and blowers

Combustion Blowers:
High Pressure Blowers for Combustion
Giliyal’s Combustion air blowers are fabricated from heavy gauge sheets and structurals. The impeller is mostly of rivetted construction and is carefully balanced statically and dynamically to obtain a perfectly vibration-free running. The impellers are Mild Steel or Aluminium. The inlet to the blower is open to atmosphere and provided with safety cover. Easy removal of impeller for maintenance purposes is facilitated by providing large inlet cover
Combustion Blowers can also be supplied with V-belt drive arrangement or drive through flexible coupling as needed.
Giliyal’s combustion blowers are available from 1 to 60HP with discharge capacities from 100CFM to 6000CFM (160-10000m3/hr) and pressures from 4" to 56" SWG (100-1400mm SWG)
Suction/ Induced Draft Blowers
High Volume Low Pressure Blowers for Hot Gases/ Hot Air
Induced draft blowers will be Direct Drive for temperatures below 80 degree centigrade and above this temperature, they are either belt driven or driven through couplings. Material of construction may be mild steel, stainless steel or Aluminium. Mild steel is suitable for working up to 300C, Stainless Steel for up to 600C with V-belt/ flexible drive and with water-cooled bearings they can work satisfactorily at as high as 1000C.
The impellers are in welded construction both statically and dynamically balanced.
Sizes available are 0.5HP to 100HP with capacities 35,400CFM (60,000m3/hr) at pressures of 1”-12” SWG (25-300mm SWG)
It may be noted that only standard speeds (720, 960, 1440, 2880RPM) are available in Direct Drive and flexible Couple Drives where as infinite speed combinations are possible with V-belt drive arrangement.
Drain out plugs and cleaning doors can be incorporated as needed.

Direct Drive High Pressure Blower
For directly driven blowers, the impeller is directly mounted on the motor shaft. These are high speed high pressure blowers used for combustion of solid, liquid and gaseous fuels, for pneumatic cleaning and conveying, for creating artificial waves in water parks / wave pools etc. These blowers are also available in double and triple stage design for developing extra high pressure.Pressure – up to 3000 mm SWGVolume – up to 15000 m3 / hr
Indirect Drive Blower- Coupling Drive
Indirectly driven blowers are operated through a flexible coupling or a V-belt drive. These are suitable for high temperature applications (>100 °C) with low pressure and high discharge volume. The design allows easy access to the impeller without disturbing the ducting at the suction or exhaust. Air / water cooling arrangements can be provided for the protection and long life of bearings.
Pressure – starting from 100 mm SWG
Volume – up to 1,00,000 m3 / hr
